Caribbean music holds a profound power to build community, reflect identity, and transform the way we teach music. I founded Caribbean Music Educators as an education platform to unite teachers, researchers, and culture-bearers throughout the region and its diaspora. By bridging the gap between cultural heritage and institutional representation, we are shedding light on overlooked musical genres and traditions, and engaging in the critical discourse necessary to advance the field. We're working to ensure Caribbean music is deeply researched, properly resourced, and taught with academic & cultural integrity.
